Dignity Health Northridge Hospital Staff & Cal State Univ Northridge BSN students create a history of sharing their evidence-based practice projects in an Annual Collaborative EBP Day.
In my every-day work here at the hospital, I am often unaware or only peripherally aware of the great work being done by bedside nurses to advance the practice of nursing and how these efforts are making a positive impact for the patients we serve. I appreciate the sense of renewal and continued commitment that I experience. I also appreciate being able to learn from the next generation of nurses, those bright, capable, committed and patient-centered nursing students, who present their evidence-based projects that often are breaking new ground to improve patient outcomes or building on previous work to take it to the next level. It always leaves me with a sense of gratitude to be a part of such a wonderful profession.
The EBP day has been such a great place to recognize staff for their great EBP work, like th panel this year from preop, intraop and postop settings and their efforts to reduce HAPUs--A. Panililio BSN RN BC, M. Plsek BSN RN CNOR & Z.Steric RN CPAN CAPA!! Also Maricel Patiag BSN RN CRRN and her ongoing research in teaching brain injured patients, and Linda White BS RN PCCN & Nancy Ramos RN EBP presentation on medication teaching! Impressive RNs for sure
